I haven't heard that males don't sting, either, but then again, they are pretty peaceful creatures, from what I've experienced. Thanks for the story!Garden Lilyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07555471590488138155noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3070488376505303445.post-41124259796637620042011-04-18T20:46:50.515-04:002011-04-18T20:46:50.515-04:00How adorable! I do hope, though, he survived the cold.Rosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01384059342847120951noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3070488376505303445.post-13794434080520544132011-04-18T17:01:38.206-04:002011-04-18T17:01:38.206-04:00Hi, Kylee!

I popped over to see if you're attending the Seattle Fling. I've decided to do the same. I hope we finally get to meet in person. :)) See you in July!Kate/High Altitude Gardeninghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06690999267357525527noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3070488376505303445.post-67238691160998316122011-04-18T12:43:41.236-04:002011-04-18T12:43:41.236-04:00Great photos!

They were lethargic too, but very much alive.

Is it possible that they were hibernating down there? Do bees hibernate? Underground? It's amazing to me that they could survive down there with all the rain lately and the soil being a little compacted there, but here they were! I put them on the ground under a pile of last year's pruned tree branches with a newly dug up patch of ground in case they wanted back in.

It was very much a surprise - first one, then the other! Not as cute as your guy inside the daffodil cup, though!RedGardenClogshttp://www.redgardenclogs.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3070488376505303445.post-9109402626147681902011-04-18T10:21:05.496-04:002011-04-18T10:21:05.496-04:00Poor bumble..he does look cold!Poor bumble..he does look cold!Samanthahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12783813516976594115noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3070488376505303445.post-24697434176602934692011-04-18T06:49:37.818-04:002011-04-18T06:49:37.818-04:00Poor Mr Bumble.
