I never thought of that!

Janice ~ Interesting about the Elephant Garlic! What kind of rose is the one you've had such good luck with?

Jennie ~ Yes, sometimes the squashes need help. One year, I had gorgeous blooms on my zucchini, and not one zucchini! Can you believe it? I had to BUY zucchini to make bread with it!

Swimray ~ I found another plant they like - Arisaema dracontium. I have yet to catch one in the act this summer though.

Garden Lily ~ I agree! I don't mind it.Kylee Baumlehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04288354709094515651noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3070488376505303445.post-30312810677349001772012-07-10T01:01:18.455-04:002012-07-10T01:01:18.455-04:00The patterns are quite pretty, if you don't th...The patterns are quite pretty, if you don't think of it as damage.Garden Lilyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07555471590488138155noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3070488376505303445.post-48292119599790414912012-07-09T22:40:22.378-04:002012-07-09T22:40:22.378-04:00They also like my Chinese Redbud tree leaves, in l...They also like my Chinese Redbud tree leaves, in late summer to early fall.Swimrayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02928919593044289369noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3070488376505303445.post-3867979100271401932012-07-09T10:39:05.942-04:002012-07-09T10:39:05.942-04:00I hadn't seen many of these until we moved to ...I hadn't seen many of these until we moved to a new town this summer. Now they're everywhere! I don't have much planted yet, but the existing lilac bushes look like swiss cheese. I'm glad to have them, though, so that somebody pollinates my tomatoes and squashes.Jenniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04652925532269895953noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3070488376505303445.post-12308659325813825722012-07-08T09:34:02.809-04:002012-07-08T09:34:02.809-04:00This is one of the few insects I don't think I...This is one of the few insects I don't think I've seen in my garden. I had something coming out at night and eating up the leaves to my Trumpet plant until I planted Elephant Garlic around the base. I have this wonderful pest deterrent planted in most of my flower beds. It has even kept the aphids from my one rose bush. I've never had any luck with roses except this one I rescued from our old home place.Janicehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03945454766656435792noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3070488376505303445.post-53198064276970601692012-07-07T23:18:30.145-04:002012-07-07T23:18:30.145-04:00It even looks like he is cutting Mickey Mouse ears...It even looks like he is cutting Mickey Mouse ears into your rose leaves!
