He was a rescued feral kitten, born in our boat, but now he is very much a part of our lives. He has very much bonded to my DH and even though he is three, and has grown into a rather chubby kitty, he still "nurses" from a soft towel on my husband's chest. I guess we took him away from his mother when he was too young.
For your dear Grandma, I have a special place she may want to visit when she's ready. It's called "The Rainbow Bridge". He would always guide my hand where he would need that extra scratch. I will never be able to sit in that chair without thinking of that bundle of black fur purring his pleasure of my touch. He came into your life bringing joy to you as well as you giving him that special love only the two of you shared. We as a family bless Elvis for that even though it was way too short of a time.

Love, Kay & BobAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3070488376505303445.post-13083278166874541492007-04-10T08:56:00.000-04:002007-04-10T08:56:00.000-04:00A soft full tail, exquisite eyes, soft purring at t...A soft full tail, exquisite eyes,
soft purring at the door,
playful swatting, frequent naps,
toys strewn across the floor.

With gentle rubs and playful purring you made your presence known and, knowing you were always there,
I never felt alone.

You loved it when I scratched your ears,
I swear it made you smile.
I could never stay angry with you,
I couldn’t if I tried.

The soft sweet purring now has ceased,
no gentle rubs to greet me,
just memories of a special friend
and good times are all I see.

Although I miss you dearly,
I’ll try not to feel so blue,
because I know that there’s a heaven for special cats like you.greenlegs80https://www.blogger.com/profile/15542955353877443900noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3070488376505303445.post-7430109569914303132007-04-09T23:37:00.000-04:002007-04-09T23:37:00.000-04:00My eyes are not dry... what a sweet tribute to a w...My eyes are not dry... what a sweet tribute to a wonderful pet.
