Feline Friday - Jilly

The jungle that is my house right now, can be quite appealing to a domesticated "wild" cat. There is a National Geographic video called Caressing the Tiger that says the cat is one of the only domesticated animals to retain much of their wild characteristics. Must be how Jilly has the agility and skill to have gotten herself situated so well among the African Violets and Jade plant on the baker's rack without harming any of the plants:

Oh goodness! That's a very fancy maneuver Jilly has done, isn't it? I wonder how in the world she managed that?!?! If it was Dexter... let's just say it would be messy. Cindy at Rosehaven Cottage

MMMM...this looks mighty familiar. Now, if we decreed that all feline furball family members HAD to sit in such places...they'd be rioting in the streets!
Your comment DID make it into the amaryllis post, by the bye, Kylee...now let's see what the weather, and the doctors, bring along!

I'm yet more amazed that she isn't eating them. Or is that only my cats? :0)

(PS - thanks for all the comments! And I hope all is ok with the storm you have swirling)

That's it, Jilly is hereby offically declared an honorary Russian Blue. It's only a true Ruskie who can land with all 4 feet on a postage stamp or jump in among the plants and not damage anything.

Cindy ~ And she managed to get out of her situation without damaging anything, too. Jilly is one amazing little feline!

Jodi ~ Oh I'm sure you've had similar scenes at your house!
Oh good (about the amaryllis post). I didn't get the usually "waiting for moderation" message when I posted it, that's why I made the second post. I think Blogger has health issues just like the rest of us! LOL

Katie ~ My cats are really pretty good about leaving the plants alone. They only bother the ones that look like grass, but not always those either. Simon (our Maine Coon) is the worst. He even tries to eat the artificial Christmas tree needles!

Yolanda Elizabet ~Jilly hereby accepts the title! Thank you! She is very very quick and light on her feet, but this truly amazed us.

I think for her to be a "true" Russian Blue, I'd better buy some clear blue contact lenses so she can have those green eyes they're all famous for. Jilly's are definitely yellow (with a small ring of green around the pupil that you can only see when the pupil is constricted). She does have the mauve paw pads, though!
