For the glory of the skies,
For the love which from our birth,
Over and around us lies.
by Folliott S. Pierpoint, 1864
Lord of all, to Thee we raise
This, our hymn of grateful praise.
For the wonder of each hour,
Of the day and of the night;
Hill and vale and tree and flow'r,
. . .
Sun and moon
and
Stars of light,
Lord of all, to Thee we raise
This, our hymn of grateful praise.

Beautiful pictures! I especially like the trees from the ground looking up.
what a truly beautiful post...thank you for the smile :)
Beautiful pictures Kylee. The post was worth the weight. And who said that Earth Day is ONE day? In my opinion, it's everyday.
Happy Wednesday!
Kylee, What a beautiful post. The photos are gorgeous and that is one of my favorite hymns. The beauty of the earth comes from our Creator God. Thanks for brightening my day!
Oh my word. The photos here look edible they are so beautiful. I love the whole design of your site. Thank you for sharing it.
Kylee, I enjoyed this and you brought to mind a song I haven't heard in a while. I just had to sing along with your beautiful post.
Gorgeous pictures. And I love the pictures of your flowers in the post before that. Katie is right earth day should be everyday. I think to a gardener it probably is.
love this hymn! esp love the sunrise pic.
This is an outstanding post Kylee. It was well worth waiting for. I jsut love the tree picture.
Beautiful, beautiful pictures, Kylee! I know the frustration with blogger, but this post was certainly worth waiting for. Very fitting for Earth Day.
Thank You, Kylee. Absolutely beautiful photos and absolutely perfect hymn. We have so much for which to be thankful!
Kylee,
Extraordinary photos. I'm partial to number one. The color contrast of the sky and the grain is amazing. Great post.

Thank you Kylee, that was beautiful. Your pics are gorgeous, well done you. It doesn't matter that it's one day late, something straight from the heart is always right on time.
A beautiful post with exquisite photos, Kylee.
Thank you, Everyone, for your nice comments. We sang this hymn in church on Sunday and besides being one of my favorites, I knew it was perfect for Earth Day. The longer I garden, the more I'm in awe and appreciation of God's creation. No one but God could have designed and created such beauty. There just aren't words for it.

Kylee, I love this post! Gorgeous photos and one of my favorite hymns. "The earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof."
I love this post, Kylee! Your photography is a perfect companion to one of my very favorite hymns. I really like the first photo with the golden stalks of wheat. All the photos remind me of the things I love most in the world.

Kylee, I appreciate you giving the credit where credit is due to all the beauty we get to enjoy. I too have a scripture on my side bar for earth day "recognition". Your photos are outstanding and love the words to the hymn.
