Celebrate Spring With New Garden Gloves! (A Giveaway)

It's that time of year again!  Time to get out the garden tools, clean them up (if you didn't do it in the fall), dust off your garden boots, and oh...where did I put those gloves?  If you're hard on gloves like I am, you can always use a new pair.  I'll bet your mom could use some too.  (That's an idea for Mother's Day!)

Performance Glove in Indigo

Well, Kara at Angela's Garden has offered a pair of their Performance Gloves in Indigo for me to give away to one lucky reader.  Not only that, she's throwing in a set of matching knee pads in Indigo too.  That's a total of a $37 value.

I've not used the Performance gloves, but I do have a pair of the Classic leather ones that I like.  The Performance gloves are a little more flexible, so I think you'll probably like them just as well.

You can read more about them on their website and while you're there, check out some of their other products, like their new Primrose Collection (they have both adult and children's sizes so you and your daughter can match!) and I've always kind of lusted after the denim stuff.

How to enter...

  • Leave a comment to this blog post, telling me what you're most excited about growing in your garden this year.  If you don't have a garden of your own and are hoping to win the gloves for someone else who gardens, just tell me who you'd give the gloves to.

  • Fill out the Rafflecopter form so that I'll have a way to contact you if you're the winner.  Rafflecopter makes it super easy to choose a random winner, too.  You won't be making your information public - I'm the only one who will see it, so no worries there.

  • You can earn extra entries, which you'll see when you fill out the Rafflecopter form.  These are optional, but you do have to leave a comment here and fill out your contact info on Rafflecopter to get one entry.

The giveaway runs through this Sunday night, May 4th, ending at midnight EDT.
If all goes well, the winner may be able to have them in time for Mother's Day, but no promises on that.  In any case, SOMEONE is going to get LUCKY!  Now get busy and enter!  (Scroll down past the photo of the awesome prizes to get to the Rafflecopter form and the comment link.)

I'm most excited about growing Digiplexis 'Illumination Flame' in my garden this year. I usually go through many, many pairs of disposable Nitrile gloves in the garden. I'd love to try a pair of the Performance gloves, and the kneepads as well.

I would so love to win a pair of these gloves! I go through so many gloves each year, always the right own. I should set up a glove swap with someone who is left handed!

Oh Kylee, I cannot pick just one thing I'm excited about in my garden. I started my own tomato plants this year and if I get just one tomato I'll be thrilled. I have a lot of perennials I planted last fall that I'm excited to see flourish. I recently planted a 5' ornamental grass that will have beautiful red plumes (no, I can't remember the name). I also bought a silky red butterfly weed from our annual arts festival that will be gorgeous. And I have some white swan echinacea seeds that I will be planting soon. I could go on and onnnnn. A pair of kneepads would be great since I have naturally knobby knees and have recently developed some arthritis. Old age won't keep me out of the garden! Many thanks and much gratitude from, Jennie Brooks

I'm very excited to be growing two Heritage Potato Varieties, a purple German Variety, passed down for generations and a northern fingerling which dates back to the Spanish, from before we were the United States.✿◠‿◠)

I'm very excited about my roses this year. I've built a new screened porch this past winter & I've made a new bed around it just for roses.

I'm very excited about the garden gloves and knee pads. Already working out in our garden. I think what I am most looking forward to this year is expanding our berry patch with more raspberries and blackberries..will need new gloves for those thorny chores. Also we have a cherry bush which was filled with blossoms earlier so hopefully I will be able to harvest some this year. Thanks for the great contest.

I am excited about growing my own vegetables this year. I have been a flower grower for many years but this is my first time to really have a vegetable garden so I am excited about that.

Great blog, gloves and knee pads are a must around here with all the plants we have around the garden. Lots of weeding and scratching in of organic fertilizers. See photos on my facebook page. Timothy R Burress

Tomatoes and jalapenos. I want to about double my harvest over last year so I can preserve more for the winter by canning.

I'm excited about growing a new Pee Gee Hydrangea. Ours was probably 40 or 50 years old and I didn't have the heart to cut it down. The Winter of 2014 got the best of it but there are a few green shoots that I will take cuttings of. :)

I am most excited about planting cherry tomatoes! Well actually a veggie garden in general is super exciting to me since we've just started planting our 1st 1 in 10 years as we just moved back to the country~ Very Exciting! Thanks for the lovely giveaway :)

I will be laid up a bit this spring so it will be great to grow anything...but I am hopeful that we can erect arches in the beds to grow melons and squashes.

I can always use new garden gloves, since I tend to take them off and leave them all over the yard. My knees aren't getting any younger, either. Thanks Kylee.

I would so love to win garden gloves, and extra kneepads would be nice bonus. Mine are pretty ratty. Anyway, I'm trying two new plants this year. Nicotiana and catmint.
Started nicotiana from seed and it's coming along super. I'm going to sow catmint seeds probably tomorrow. I'm looking for pretty and DEERPROOF! Thanks, Jane
