NaBloPoMo - What is THAT?

My good friend Jenny Peterson (J. Peterson Garden Design) asked a question of our garden writers' group the other day: "How many of you are doing NaBloPoMo?" I knew what it was, but I hadn't considered doing it. NaBloPoMo is short for National Blog Posting Month and the goal is to write a blog post every day for the month of November.

As you may have noticed, blog posts here have been sparse throughout the summer and fall this year, due to my busy travel and work schedules. It isn't that I don't have anything to write about - quite the contrary! I've got oodles of experiences and hundreds of photos to go along with them that I haven't yet shared. With no trips on the calendar at present and work slowing a bit, I'm taking the NaBloPoMo challenge.

There's something about saying out loud that you will do something that helps you follow through with doing it. So I'm committed to posting once every day for the month of November. That guilt trip that I've been on all summer for not posting just grew legs. Stay tuned!

(See...I'm already on my way. This is one post down, 29 to go!)

I too always have way more blog post fodder than I ever use, drafts waiting, photos that never make it. Taking the time to blog every day really does help get the creative juices flowing.

Best of luck to you in this endeavor - can't wait to see all the wonderful things that haven't made the blog yet. (lucky for us cat people, there are always lots of cat photos for those creatively challenged days)

Good luck with the challenge Kylee :)

This is my fourth NaBloPoMo. I've sailed through the past 3, but it's going to be a tough one this year!

More power to ya, Kylee! I really like my weekends off from posting. And I fall asleep on the couch a lot and then wake up at midnight and question whether it's more important to go to bed or to finish the blog post for the next day. The former usually wins.

You can do it, Kylee! We'll egg, er, encourage each other on!
