Excuse me, while I get a little excited. Tonight, while checking up on plants, flowers, trees, bushes, seedlings, and peat pots with seeds sown in them ... wait ... back it up.
Seedlings.

Look very closely. Do you see what I see? That little (and I do mean little) thread of green poking through the soil and about to shed its seed coat? Please tell me you can see it, too.

I see it! I see it! I see hope and promise, poking a pretty green head up through the soil!
Excitement is good, Kylee. I'm rooting for you (and your seedlings) too. There's something totally joyous about seeing those tiny seedlings emerge, isn't there?
Spring has finally arrived here in Nova Scotia--actually, I think we skipped spring and went right to summer. Temperatures in the 70s (F--I dislike metric) yesterday and didn't go below 50 last night. Snow finally gone, and seedlings in our kitchen too. Not of Meconopsis, though...I'm expecting to see some new green emerge outside where they're planted, sometime in the next week or two.
Yep, there is a seedling coming up. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it is that most elusive of all Poppies the youknowwhatsit. ;-) And maybe more will poke their little heads through the soil in the coming days. Wouldn't that be wonderful?
Bravo! A beautiful picture too! Isn't it great to see that first sign that summer is on the way?
YIPPEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's wonderful, Kylee! :)
That's exciting. And I hope to see pictures of this seedling right up until it blooms.
Yaay, I hope you post some photos of the blooms.
Kylee....great photos...I cannot wait to see more pictures of the poppy!!!! Grow Poppy Grow!!!!!
