If you haven't noticed already, I really love to take macro photos of my flowers and other living things. I'm fascinated by the detail in the details. Some of what I photograph this way are not even recognizable for what they are when you see them this close. But I'll bet you can figure this one out ...

I love taking UCAPs too...quite an amateur though. I love it when I put the photo on the computer and see a wee bug that I didn't even know was there! Happy Gardening
Is this flower a Columbine? That's what popped into mind first ... I love these photos of yours. It's as if icing sugar has been sprinkled on top of the bloom...
Lovely color! Great shot! I enjoy macro photography as well.
I do a lot of Macro photography as well. It's amazing what features of a flower or a petal that you can bring out that you didn't even realize was there in the first place.
Beautiful Columbine. :)
I also love taking macro shots of my flowers. Last year I took several and printed them out on 8x10 photo paper and framed them. It was wonderful looking at the blooms during the winter months.
Kylee, what kind of camera are you using? This is a glorious photo, one of many I've enjoyed. I don't have a macro lens for my Canon Rebel XT, but I do have a macro setting, which helps somewhat.
Yes, Columbine. :-) This is one of my old, old ones.
My camera is a Canon A710 IS. The pictures are taken with this 7.1 MP camera set on macro mode, no special lenses.
I love this camera!
Nice photo.
I love the color.
I pink columbine but no hot pink.
Do you know the name?
chigiy - No, I'm sorry, I don't have a name for it. It's a regular sized columbine, not small like the Winky Series, nor large like McKana's Giants. I've had it for as long as we've lived here, which is 30 years this year.
This looks a tad bit more pink in the picture because it's backlit from the sun, but it's not that far off from the original flower color.
Well now that the cat is out of the bag, there's no need to guess anymore. ;-) Lovely pic, Kylee! I hope many more may follow.
BTW have you seen all the new kitty pics at Bliss? And there is even a mystery kitty!!!
I love macros too. You see things not ordinarily seen with the naked eye. The minute structures of flowers and insects are really wonderful.
