I came across this picture of Abby again last Sunday night when Grandma spent the night. It was taken when Abby still lived at our house. She belongs to Grandma now, which is a good thing. Simon had all of a sudden started to sort of not like Abby and we weren't sure what we were going to do about it.
Abby is such a sweetheart and just wanted to be left alone to snuggle with me, but I think maybe Simon was jealous. Never mind that Simon isn't the snuggly kind. He's the "I don't want you but I don't want anyone else to have you either" kind. So when Grandma said she was ready for another cat, it seemed like the perfect solution.
If any one picture could convey Abby's personality, this might just be it. She's very wary of anyone except for Grandma. Mom thinks Grandma doesn't really have a cat because when she visits, she never sees her. Take my word for it, Mom - Abby's there. I saw her just last Sunday as she streaked by on her way to her secret hiding place.

She's a sweetie. Isn't it fun how they all have their different personalities? And so some people say Kitties aren't special ! BAH!
It must have been so hard for you to let go this sweet darling cat! How wonderful, that your Grandma was able to take her in. That Simon is a little tyrant, isn't he? Wanting you all to himself. ;-)
Thank you for your kind comment on my Strawberry blog. Did you see my "main blog", Merisi's Vienna for Beginners? There are many flower and garden images there too.
Sorry, forgot to say that of course you may add a link to my blog, that's very kind of you,n thank you. :-)
What a cutie. I'm sorry you had to let her go but she found a good family home. My cat also liked to hide on the car under the table cover.
What a cute picture...And that Max is lucky to have such a nice shady spot to loaf in. Does Max also come inside?
Such an adorable photo! We have a kitty like Abby. Her name is Lydia. People swear that we really don't have a cat named Lydia because they never see her either. But just like Abby, Lydia is a big love muffin. Cindy at Rosehaven Cottage
It's good to read that Abby is doing so well with your Grandma. I understand your mother perfectly well though. When I had my first 2 cats nobody believed I had them because no one ever saw them when they visited me. It looks like Abby has got her disappearing act together, just like my Chuck and Wendy! ;-)
