Feline Friday - Boo!

Boo is the alpha cat of the eight we have. With people, he's the most laid back except maybe for Jack, but he won't hesitate to let the other cats know that he's the boss. Boo is one of a litter of kittens we rescued just down the road from our house three years ago. Someone had dumped a whole barnful of cats and five of them were very tiny kittens.

Two days after we scooped them up, gave them baths, fed them and provided them with a warm place to sleep, the field where we found them was plowed. As scared as those kittens were, hiding in the weeds, I have no doubt they would have unknowingly been killed by that tractor and the farmer driving it.

We have three of those original five kittens still living with us - Boo, Luna, and Baby - while Kara and Adam have Oreo. One of my co-workers and her family has Augie, whom they renamed Cow. Guess what colors Cow is? :-)

What a beautiful feline. We have six and all have been rescued in one form or another. If I could have more I would. I love their different personalities.

Peek-a-Boo I see you! What a handsome devil Boo is and I can judge from the expression in his eyes that Boo doesn't take prisoners. ;-)

It's a good thing you saved those 5 kittens Kylee! They all live happy lives now as beloved pets which is as it should be.

You are a kitty hero in my books, for having rescued those tiny babies! And like Cindy wrote the other day at Rosehaven, rescued kitties do tend to be grateful, don't you find? Boo is gorgeous; and it's often a challenge to photograph black cats, so you really did a great job of catching his laid back but magestic self!

Boo is so cute! I love the lounging pose next to the garden urn. What lucky little kittens to have had you as their rescuer just in the nick of time. I'm so glad you found them. It was meant to be. Cindy at Rosehaven Cottage

Boo is a beautiful cat ! Apparently it exists all over the world that people get rid of their cats and mostly kittens just by trashing them in fields or even garbadge cans ! I just could kill those people ! Fortunately they found such a good home !
